I just finished writing 2 featured songs and additional score for the upcoming film “The Greening of Whitney Brown” starring Brooke Shields, Aiden Quinn, Kris Kristofferson and Sammi Hanratty.

Greg O’Connor has scored over 570 episodes of Television in addition to scoring films and commercials. He is an Emmy winner and a four time Emmy nominee. Greg has scored projects in every genre including single camera comedy, multi camera comedy, animation, one hour drama, game show, sketch comedy, award show, stand up, reality, hidden camera, trailers, commercials and documentary. Greg was the composer for all 14 seasons of the late night sketch comedy show Mad TV. He composed the music for Bob Einstein’s series Superdave Spike-Tacular , David Allen Grier’s comedy series Chocolate News and Jeff Foxworthy’s variety show Blue Collar TV. Additionally, he was the musical director for the ABC reality competition series “The Next Best Thing.”

Greg began his television career scoring shows such as The Sunday Comics and the Emmy award winning Ben Stiller Show. He also composed the underscore for all 3 seasons of the hidden camera series The Jamie Kennedy Experiment and the ABC Aaron Spelling cop drama 10-8 starring Ernie Hudson and Danny Nucci.

In addition to scoring for TV and Film, Greg is also a prolific songwriter and record producer. He most recently wrote and produced two featured songs for the film “The Greening of Whitney Brown” one of which was performed by Brooke Shields. He wrote and produced three featured songs for Lori Petty’s directorial feature film debut “The Poker House” as well as two featured songs in the Lego movie “Clutch Powers.” Greg wrote 2 Billboard Top 20 songs with writing partner James Pankow for the legendary band Chicago as well as the song “Here With Me” for the release of the highly anticipated Chicago album “Stone of Sisyphus.”

Greg produced and wrote songs for the animated Lionsgate movie “Foodfight” with veteran producer Michael Lloyd. He also co-produced 2 songs for Curb Records artist Kimberly Locke on the “Camille” soundtrack for Oscar winning producer Al Ruddy. Greg produced 5 songs for Barry Manilow’s album “The Greatest Songs of The Eighties.” as well as Barry’s hit Christmas single “Christmas is Just Around the Corner.”

Greg has scored many radio commercials for well-known brands including Starbucks, Sunkist, Gatorade and Applebees. Greg is the owner of a comprehensive music library with hit record producer Michael Lloyd which has been used in feature films, TV movies, trailers, specials and reality shows for ABC, MTV, the WB, TBS, Discovery, Lifetime and Logo networks among others.

Greg is a graduate of Notre Dame’s music school as well as the Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program at USC.
